Maybe someone needs to explain it a bit more clearly to me. While I don't think that having prejudices like racism/sexism/homophobia can be passed as "just opinions", I do think people have their own right on whether or not those prejudices automatically de-merit everything else about a person. Unless they're like horribly racist/sexist/homophobic/etc., but like I said, it's a persons choice on whether it de-merits the offender and how much discrimination they can accept (personally, I decide on a case-by-case basis, but while I do tend to distance myself a bit from people like that, if they have redeemable qualities, I won't completely shut them out).

I agree in some ways. I feel people do have a right to their views and don't have to apologize all of the time, BUT I also feel some things are better left unsaid. I thought his tweet was harmless. He's probably just a big fan of the show like I was..until the jim crow remark. I wasn't highly offended by it, but I sure as hell didn't agree with the comment. I don't see where Liam is saying that he hates gay people.

The ideal family is a family that is filled with love and happiness, regardless of gender or sexual orientation. A family that takes care of one another and lives comfortably. That's the ideal family, not what you and the others are preaching about it being only "man/woman".

Now were in "denial" for thinking that. Two men/two women could raise a child just as well as a man/woman? Interesting.

That's not how I feel for either of them. I believe that single parents/same sex parents are not ideal for a child. I child deserves both. There's nothing wrong with that.

And that's why many families end up messed up. The criteria to be considered a real family is reduced to just the gender identity of the parents. No mentions of love, no mentions of care, no mentions of stability.
