B.O.B FEAT. HAYLEY WILLIAMS
AIRPLANES
B.o.B Presents: The Adventures of Bobby Ray
Days: 57 | Peak: 01[14]
A couple of bitches got it right, soaring high atop my Best of 2010 is non other than "Airplanes." From the title alone, you know the song's gonna smash for sure. I call this collaboration "clever" because it has something to offer for everybody. It's a very memorable song that would cater to rap, rock and pop listeners. There is just no way out.
B.o.B has established that he's indeed the next big thing in rap, and he did flawless in this track. But the highlight has to be Hayley. She primarily is the reason why I love this song. Her voice has so much angst that despite she's only singing a relatively easy and simple part, she was able to make it sound so effective you would want to curse every loser who's ever wronged you. And I did say it has something for everybody: The rap dudes are gonna love it for obvious reasons, the pop kiddos are gonna be forced to love it coz radio is set to eat this song up, and the rockers are in for a treat, thanks to Hayley. The song is just practically made to sell. Congratulations to B.o.B and Hayley Williams for grabbing the song of the year!
*Hayley Williams is at #1 (Airplanes) and #2 (The Only Exception) this year, and also the #1 song (Ignorance) of 2009 - the first and only artist to have this record so far.
