I meant in that they're both successful without anyone actually using/being a big fan. Everyone I know in real life is sick of Jess and only uses Hold My Hand when they're drunk.

Jess Glynne is serviceable as an anonymous for-hire featured dance vocalist, but nothing more. Rather Be and My Love are the only good things she's ever touched.

I feel like Rita is at least somewhat capable of making decent songs of her own. I Will Never Let You Down is pretty good.

Jess does have a lot of stans, and it takes time to build a steady fan base, Rita is universally hated
They're completely incomparable since one is talented and the other obviously isn't.

I'm not really sure what the difference is, either. She contributes just as much to her "solo" output as she does to the stuff she's only the featured artist on, but everything with her on lead billing has been horrible.
