I never understand this logic? What does your number of albums have to do with how successful it's going to be? The GP doesn't go "oh well this is Britney's 9th album so I'm not going to buy it".
I thought it would perform similar because they both had flop leads that are pretty much on the same level.
An album that is promoted with multiple daily commercials (like, 30 times a day at least on Channel 7) because of its associated TV show. Joanne hasn't had an inch of the promotion that The Stolen Generation Daughter has & yet it's selling almost as well.
She did good because her massive unusually devoted fanbase stuck by her even when she tried her hardest to get ya'll to stop liking her.
Gaga: "Another Jazz album, that'll get rid of the gays! No... country! And ban RedOne!"
Monsters: "We love Jazz now. We love country now. We hate RedOne now!"
I gotta admit, y'all have a hell of a lot more patience than I do.
Her talent is so pure and raw these days, that ha career is now covering other peoples songs.
