I LOVE Holy Ground but there's a biT too much going on. I have to be in a certain sort of mood to listen to it. Like I'm leaving someone behind and forgetting them. I know that's not the message of the song...but it's the sound of it. It's the sort of song that I listen to when I'm cutting someone out of my life. Even though, like I said, that's not the message of the lyrics. It's hard to explain.
All Too Well is too country for me. Like I said before, that's just not my genre. I love her. But I can't help the fact that I don't like the genre of country. I do love the lyrics of All Too Well though. Especially considering when you break up with someone, it's the stupid little memories that you remember. Like him driving you home, or buying groceries together, or renting a DVD from a DVD machine
She's kind of like Adele. You have to be in a specific mood to listen to some of her songs. And I broke up with my last boyfriend in 2012, so I'm not going to listen to heartbreak songs when I'm not heartbroken...if that makes any sense?
SpinThatShhhh and Rihinvention are enemies? Why tho they seem like amazing people and are semi Lord stans too
Nooooo hahaha. He hates me. I really like his opinions, but I sometimes get really defensive when he tries to troll me (because he's told me he finds it funny) so if I'm in a bad mood, I get really angry and snap back. He seems really smart though, I like him.

I feel the same about Holy Ground. That's the best thing about her music, despite being so personal, everyone can find her/his own message and interpretation

Oh It's funny that you like Begin Again but find All Too Well too country. But oh well, to each their own. So I guess you won't give her other albums a chance?
I guess that's for you. I can pretty much listen to anything anytime, unless I'm feeling REALLY sad or REALLY happy, then I probably can't. and you look so good you must've had tons of dudes chasing after you

I still see Begin Again as being relatively pop. Yeah, there's country elements to it. But something about Begin Again makes me reminisce about good memories that I have from my past two relationships, even though I hate both of them now. And again, that's not the meaning of the song - but that's what it makes me feel. It makes me reminisce. I can't help it. It's hard to explain. Plus there's only that one guitar riff after she sings "I watched it begin again" that sounds really, really distinctly country to me.
You guys have to bare in mind though, my genre is deep house. Like for the past week, I've had this one repeat:

JusT a little biT different to Tay tbh
It's the feel of the song, isn't it?
House, such an alpha male genre. But don't count Tay out on serving us her Walking on Air soon.
