The Born To Die era makes me feel so nostalgic. I don't really miss that sound or style that much but it was such a great time. Probably the first album run I actually followed on the internet. Dalai.
Kesha the wide-set crocheting widow who brings potato salad to all family events/has 4 cats, Katy the stripper who gets punched around by every boyfriend and has had 6 abortions and pill addiction phases, respectively
no offense but TF/M really does sound cheap; i didn't even call it dated (it def is tho). what i meant by my post is that the production sounds cheap... like it was made using the pre-installed presets on a generic music producing software. it wouldn't be hard for an ametuer to recreate TFM's productions imo.
So does Madonna (debut). Have you listened to Everybody and Burning Up? That's what makes it great that despite production limitations it represented an era. TFM does not sound cheap or dated though. That's not an opinion you can have sorry. The sky is blue: TFM is not cheap.
Both their debuts are probably their most acclaimed (other than RoL).

Kesha has a decent live voice.. but anyone can do this. The metallic warrior alien queen look is weird/dumb. This song is ****** & proves she's on Flo Rida's level of forgettable radio candy.
I remember listening to Video Games in September 2011 (I can proudly say I loved her ever since that moment), watching the Born To Die audio video and downloading a bunch of her unreleased songs/demos/Lana Del Ray songs in December 2011 and when BTD album came out.... Only Born This Way was able to blow me away the way BTD did
Never wanted this, never wanna see you hurt
Every little bump in the road I tried to swerve
People are people, and sometimes it doesn't work out
Nothing we say is gonna save us from the fall out
And we know it's never simple, never easy
Never a clean break, no one here to save me
You're the only thing I know like the back of my hand
And I can't breathe without you
But I have to
Breathe without you
But I have to
