Pop music these days is not devoid of colorfulness. They just have no use for Britney. I see why you mad and will continue to be.
And if old people didn't know who Gaga was before, they know who she is now. Britney is still either not known at all by old people or the ones who do know her see her as a talentless JOKE.

Speaking on the behalf of old people as if you're one, unless you really are 35 like Last Boy on Earth claims. And practically all pop stars are seen as talentless and devoid of anything creative; like this performance everyone will forget about in a week max is going to change the perception that she's a weirdo mainly known for her bizarre fashion and over-sexual musical content. P!nk performed last year to rave reviews, yet what did that performance do for her reputation at the end of it all?
And 90% of the industry is completely useless. It ain't just Britney, and like I said, she's a pop star. She records catchy pop music and likes to appeal herself as hot eye candy. That aesthetic is what she's been wearing for practically her entire career, and the fact that it's been replicated to death doesn't change the fact that she is one of the reasons so many girls from 1999 onwards have been taking on the same image. The fact that Gaga herself, the "MORE TALENTED AND CRITICALLY ACCLAIMED ONE!!!111!!!" of the two has cited Britney as a major influence multiple times and presented her with the Video Vanguard Award really says a lot, doesn't it?
If the talented ones are clearly fond of the supposedly untalented ones, then who gives a **** either way?
