In terms of the Orlando shooting, I believe it's not who speaks/ acknowledge about it the fastest, but more about acknowledging it the right way (or what feels genuine to her)... everybody goes thru an event or tragedy differently, personally I was so traumatized by it that i was literally silent and didn't know how to express what I feel... so I can understand some people being initially silent about it as well....There's also a fine line between empathy and sympathy.
