It depends on your state. Most states limit you to only being able to vote for the primary of the party you're officially registered for.

Do some research! Try to avoid biased media as much as you can and focus on the facts of what the candidates are wanting to accomplish. Try to stay away from Facebook because it will be full of people trying to pull you to their side. However, there's a debate in a few days and I personally find watching debates as the best, most direct way to form my own opinion on the candidates. I would highly recommend watching it and paying close attention to it. The previous debates are all on YouTube, if you wanna watch (or rewatch) those, too.

In an open primary you may choose to vote for whomever's primary you want but you can only vote I one. So a registered democrat such as yourself may vote in the republican primary. You cannot vote in the democratic if you vote in the republican one. And vice versa

That makes sense. Someone was trying to tell me otherwise that I could vote for both so I wanted some clarification. I'm entirely new to the primary/caucus run so it's been a fresh experience for me. I was old enough to vote in the GE in 2012 but not yet old enough during the last primary.

I missed the cutoff by a few days in 2012 so this is also my first time! But I've been following politics super closely since early 2007.

What state are you btw? Just curious

I am from Missouri. I'm following the Iowa Caucus intensively though since my parents have started living there (Des Moines) and there is always the possibility that I could be living there soon too.

For domestic issues I feel Bernie would be a better president in some cases, but in the world we live in I believe Hillary would do a way better job "taking on" and dealing with Isis and other foreign issues and terror.

Domestically Bernie has great ideas but I feel like a lot of them are wayyyy to our there and aren't feasible in this day in age.

I'll be happy with either of them winning, but more so Hillary

Just used this website to find out who I should vote for and I got 88% for both Bernie and Hilary

Thinking about voting for Bernie tbh. Hilary seems bit shadier and I don't like that she wants to get even more involved with ISIS (starting a war, overthrowing the Syrian president ). I like Bernie's economic plan more also.
