u know this is anthology series which means that there is nothing similar in one or another season EVEN if there are similarities ..... the scripts/idea come from Ryan they don't follow books, tumblr posts, fan fictions, etc. which means that in the beginning the idea of the season could have been one but by the end of the last shooting episode the whole season could have become something else .... here is the biggest example u could have:
Dandy Mott was supposed to be in 4 to 5 episodes in the beginning but Fin's stunning performance and the general response for the character made Ryan made him a main cast and literally Dandy Mott was the reason FS was bearable season
So comparing characters from previous season is literally pointless because at any term in the working process Ryan could decide to change the direction completely and once a what could have been important character to become a non-event and vice verca
