Ugh EW gave Artpop a B which is a good score. I'm just moreso annoyed by their criticism that its a retread and doesn't go anywhere new musically for her which is a big lie(Sexxx Dreams, DWUW, Heavier electronic flavor in songs, etc.). They also said it fails to make an impression. Funny how all these criticisms are held against Gaga but none of those were held against Perry and she got a B+. They also said there was no retro influence on the album which makes me wonder if they listened to Sexxx Dreams or Fashion!.
Took me a while too. Just let the music play in the background while you're doing other stuff or listen to the album without skipping a song while you're driving. Helps me always to appreciate certain songs instead of just sitting around and basically forcing myself to listen to a song.
I love G.U.Y but I wish she said more in the chorus other than "I want to be that guy (G.U.Y)"
