Nope. It's just a deck.
The mascot for the new set coming out in March is M Alakazam. If Z or the new game was coming out spring the mascot would be Zygarde. It means we won't get Z during Spring at least. Summer maybe?

Sets that accompany games always come out after the games anyway so the June set that could have Zygarde as mascot

Yep.
Though I'm sure we'll get an actual announcement on the game soon instead of having to figure out when it releases with TCG set releases.
But if we don't I guess we'll see in Feb/March what the next set mascot is

Or next month since Coro Coro will have big news.
Anyway spring release seems the most likely to me.

Make your own region.
___
I actually started brainstorming a motif for my own region over the summer. It would take place in Africa, I know it's a continent, but I really wanted to fit as many different terrains and cultural aspects, as I could, to my game.
Theme would be origins.
While the motif would be peace vs. war
Basically, the two box legendaries would be a rainbow serpent that dwells deep in the jungle and a black lioness with lavish gold decorations that covers her neck and paws who generally resides in the desert area.
ddddddd
(imagine the snake with a rainbow headdress like the one in the image next to it)
The lore would be that the earliest civilizations of humans were divided into two groups; one which lived in the north of this region, in the desert, and one that lived in the south near a jungle. Conditions of the planet changed drastically which caused both civilizations' food source to disappear. The Jungle Tribe decided to venture deep in the dangerous jungles to look for food. 4 days they spent searching through it until they reached a pink lake. A rainbow colored snake arose from the pink body of water and upon seeing the hardship these people were enduring he decided allow them to take clean water and seeds from his home. The Jungle tribe, being, grateful to the serpent hailed him as a god. It is said that modern language and the first collection of data on Pokémon was derived by the jungle tribe.
The desert tribe wasn't as lucky; many of their populous died off, and, because of those deaths a different deity was summoned. The gold plated lioness appeared to the dreary tribe and they spoke to her about their own strife and hardship. The lioness tells them of a tribe south of them that is bountiful and prosperous. She influences them to take what they need from them. This tribe is said to be the first to create tools for domesticating Pokémon and using them for battle.
The actual game plot takes places years after this, but I didn't get that far, because I kinda gave up on this. A boy can dream tho
oooh the mistakes

Tbh if I had a region, it'd basically be Elsa (the electric gym leader)'s city, but throughout the whole region. Everything would be techno/neon, but with a few forests and an ocean. No desert in my region because I said so. (: Wild Pokemon in the region would be mostly urban, although a decent chunk of the map would be nature themed, so more natural area Pokemon would be found, too.
The duo would probably be Nature vs. Technology (so it'd probably be Fairy/Grass vs. Steel/Electric, with a Poison/Ground "counter" to the 2), and there'd be 2 teams - one for the advancement of technology, even at the cost of the environment, and one that's fighting to protect nature - even if they have to destroy major corporations to do it...so yes Nature vs. Technology would be a major theme.
Gym trainers would be based on music genres, with 4 gym leaders being tech (Pop, Dance, Rap, Metal) and 4 being nature (Opera, New Age, Country, Jazz), and the teams would be focused on those themes, moreso than having a singular type. Even the Elite 4 would have 2 tech, 2 nature, and the champion who wants to be able to have technology and nature benefit each other.

This reminds me of what I initially though Zekrom and Reshiram would represent.
