As ridiculous as this is, Do What U Want sounds incredible when you headphones aren't in properly. It really uncovers some of the synths that are laced throughout the production,hidden behind the clunky beat and vocals.
Like the majority of ARTPOP, this had so much potential yet its production hinders its ability to really slay.
This song could have been the perfect introduction of SexyGa to the GP and made Sexxx Dreams and GUY future smash hits. But it's too late now I think, the single has peaked. Oh well. There's always Gypsy.
If she would just release a video the US chart performance would be so much higher. All those streaming points she's missing out on is really what's hindering her peak. I do believe it'll linger around the top 20 for a while but without a video that #13 peak is most likely the best DWUW will do. Which is so sad considering this is her best single choice in the US since Just Dance.

Agreed. ANY video would be better than none, and it's not as if she hasn't already released sh1tty videos in the past anyway.
