I wish I was into K-pop earlier on. I live in such a huge Asian community, one girl back in freshman year asked me if I listened to it and all I could say was 'I've heard of Girls' Generation but that's it'.

I was so into K-pop in 2011, then my interest slowly faded and I thought I'll stop caring one day lol.
The dud years were defiinitely 2013-14 for me. The rise of new GGs this year truly brought back my interest. Now I'm as into K-pop as ever.
!!!! In 2013-2014 I only paid attention to my faves like f(x), EXO and sometimes SNSD when it wasn't TaeNy focused. But with Red Velvet i got dragged back and then all these new gen girl groups

Same, I had so many non-Asian friends into Kpop from like 6th grade but I was lowkey self hating and too into Lady Gaga I feel like I missed out on so much
I stopped following the same year I got in, it must've been 2012. I only listened to SNSD+2NE1+T-ARA for a bit, then I got back in towards the very end of 2013. Then I fell back out mid 2014, but when I came back at the end of 2014, I was listening to more than a handful of groups, basically anything that came out. I haven't used western pop since.
