There was this interesting post on another forum, about how Gaga can never win the straight men back again aside from a bop here and there, but she could try win back her female fanbase by looking like a young style icon again instead of looking repulsive all the time. Females are the main demographic of pop anyways.
So I was going through iTunes top 3000 artists worldwide on Kworb trying to see which old best selling groups were still there.
I saw a couple big names there-- all except the Spice Girls.
I thought maybe I was spelling their name wrong, but this was the closest I could get...
The ARTPOP era turned out better than I expected, tbh. A year ago it was all Stache, Ratchet, Tea, Princess High, a "down with the Tumblr generation" mess
The album is still her worst but there's some good songs.
yea i was dreading this era some cringers still made their way through (donatella, gypsy etc.) but overall its a solid B-/C+ for me. enough good material to keep me happy
She really lost her VEVO power to Rihanna once the bad videos started being made in BTW era.
It is kind of sad how Gaga thinks she's such a good visionary. You can tell she's the type of artist who thinks something is not legit if she doesn't have creative control over it.

team could have had a really euphoric video with a dark twist. she'll never be an icon if the only shots are her face from the side in the dark. also the song won't be a WW hit at all (for some reason it makes me think of a slower version of taylorde's red)
