SorryI'mLuke - I wished you would've branched out a bit more. Even if you made threads about your artist with no replies, it would've left a better impression on me that you were trying than most of your posts about them being disingenuous Random Thoughts posts. I also would've appreciated a bit more creativity in your posts - just as an example, a thread like "Should this girl work with Max Martin?" - it's not a great idea, obviously, but there's a bit of humor in it and it'd get some attention on her at the least. It seemed to me you were here to fill challenge requirements.
Legend E - I can't tell if the name of your artist helped you or hindered you, to be honest. Your "Talent NEVER Wins" thread. Even though it was an easy way to get people to flock to your thread, I can't hold that against you since you're supposed to be doing anything in your power to be an effective promoter...so well done!  However, you could have easily omitted a lot of the Ariana Grande rate posts...it wasn't as predictable as RT, but like...2 or 3 would've sufficed. Promoting to the same small demographic can only do so much! Tbh, near the end it stopped feeling like promotion
C/H/A/N/E/L - Well, I will say they didn't lie - but as an extension - you didn't either. If you have to be obnoxious to get someone's name out there, then by all means go for it. It at least increases the chance of that artist being remembered by extension, and maybe some will even check out their music out of morbid curiosity. I think the profile part could've been handled more tactfully. Like...you did put them in your sig, but the way you explained yourself...tell us how you really feel. Regardless, as annoying as it was, you got the point across.
Speezy - You linked a random Kat Deluna thread from 2010. Girl...I wish you would've had a bit more creative ways of putting her name out there. "Is she better than Nicki and Iggy combined?" would've had girls running, I bet! One thing I can say, though, is that I'm glad you didn't just link me 15 posts you made in RT to fill space. Maybe that wasn't because you didn't want your promo to seem redundant, but moreso because you just wanted this challenge to be over with. |

Luke - This entry wasn't bad, it just wasn't soaringly great. It fits all of the requirements set forth, but that can seem a little bit stale after a while. Really, you just needed to more over the top and take it all the way. Spam some threads about your artist, go to SYG, etc. You just didn't push the envelope far enough.
Legend E - I lived for your profile makeover, and your Talent Never Wins thread was performance art. You got the short end of the stick in terms of artists - ShitKid is not one that is ever going to have more than a niche fanbase. But you still mostly went after it, and while I think your posts needed more variety, I think this was a good entry.
Chanel - Your posts felt a little stilted since all of them were so fighty and not subtle at all. Obviously I wish the thread had done better, but you could've given it a couple more tries until you found one that did moderately well. The makeover was okay. You're in the same territory as Luke, I think.
Speezy - You had, next to mxtheew, the easiest artist to promote since there is already some sort of fanbase on this site. Yet, from the LQ avatar to the uninspired posting. Loved the Kat Deluna thread! Idk, it seemed pretty obvious that you wanted this challenge to be over with.

Now it's time to discuss who is safe. Speezy, Luke, and Chanel. Each of you met all of the challenge requirements, but you faced criticism for not seeming as invested in things as some of your other competitors. The one of you that is safe is....

I genuinely loved the artist I was given and I take the criticism on board about how I could have been more creative, and it's something I'll learn from. I didn't want to spam threads or posts about my artist as I wanted it to feel natural, organic, authentic and not forced. Maybe that was a mistake, however it was something I wanted to do, personally.
Compared to Speezy this round, I clearly put in a lot more effort into doing well this round and like I said, I ended up really loving my artist and whether I win or lose this round, I now have an album to look forward to at the end of the month! 
I also had my first kiss last night so I'm kinda in that "Best feeling mood"  if I do get eliminated, lemme hope I'm still in this mood!
That's all I guess... Thank you.

Hey judges and fellow contestants this round asked to promote a random flop artist . I tried several threads to promote her music but it didn't draw in attention that I wanted for her. BUT as an Artist if you don't have personality then you will fail to succeed in today's industry that's why the thread about Tinks butt was made to show her off and her Instagram.
Was I invested in her like I was for Jordin? No. Are they both flops. Yes. Why didn't I promote her like Jordin. Well first I would have to get a feel for the artist life,music and interests and I didn't have enough time when I started. Her mix tapes was solid and Molly Love was a bop
Did I bring out her Stans, YES check MY wall to see her Stans comment. It was effective promotion in a way. (refer back to my other promotion skills). In review of my entry yes it was tragic compared to my potential work. No I didn't want to challenge to be over, I just looked at it the last minute pretty much. It was a fun game TBH GL Luke
