I just don't understand the whole contract business. She wasn't trying to send Luke to jail, she literally just wanted to be free. What has Sony got to gain by keeping her? They could have saved this whole **** storm - which has sullied the name of all parties involved - and just released her.
If she was truly abused and raped, and if she was truly standing up for herself, she would have gone to the police/hospital and gotten hard DNA evidence immediately. Clearly, she didn't and in retrospect, she's beating herself up that she didn't (IF her allegations of her being inappropriately touched is true). Otherwise, she has no admissible proof.

Kesha, herself, in her legal documents has stated that she had never told anyone at SONY about the allleged abuse. How are they support to protect when she didn't tell anyone what was going on????
And she can have "the right to want" for everything in the world, sadly, she doesn't have any "actual legal rights" to force her employer to do anything.

Again, I didn't say her employers should be forced to anything. I said if she felt her employers weren't helping her and handled it badly then she should have a right to not work with them. There's nothing wrong with rejecting any further work with them. It's a messy situation that goes beyond the man she's accusing.

Not true.... at all. It's not like that for everyone. Some people become victims to their own selves in such situations
Word of mouth is only admissible in court when it's comes to verbal contracts.
And even then, doctrines like promissory estoppel is hard to back up. Kesha (and her mom) tried their best by trying to get verbal support from other artists and producers but it was for naught as GaGa and Kelly both denied and Max Martin would never go against Luke (maybe even cuz Martin doesn't agree with Pebe's claims).
The judge did exactly what they were supposed to. And not make a silly ruling based on Kesha's word alone. Word of mouth/hearsay isn't sufficient proof of anything in a court of law.
And it doesn't seem like Kesha actually presented legitimate evidences of abuse to break the contract. Easy enough to claim it, but evidently not so easy to prove.
