This is absolutely the best song on Marry Me. Period. I can't believe I didn't give this a 10. This song is so emotional to me. The defiance, the self laceration -- all elements that still exist in her work today. Truly ahead of its time.
Can we discuss how this is the best debut single ever? The backing vocals murder me. It's so anthemic from the very start. One of her finest, I thought it was a lock for Top 10.
It's a good song, should have outlasted the self-titled album.
