I've come to the conclusion that ATRL doesn't like otherworldly romantic euphoria, in favor of the much more simple and humdrum. A band member saying that it's their favorite song, or that it's the song that moves them the most, is often a mark of an album's best, often due to a musician knowing when they've achieved something remarkable. It reminds me how Britney stated "Heaven on Earth" is her favorite on Blackout, only for it to get walked all over on ATRL. Really a sad moment, especially considering how the majority of Beach House's other tracks were also overlooked.

Most of these eliminations are fine. My main qualms are LCD already having two songs out. "White Sky", "Real Love", "Make The Bus", and "Say You'll Go" were also too low, but whatever.
