I honestly dont know of her lifetime achievement awards, however you're free to post them...
and i'm not here for all that bull about the "wardrobe malfunction", that **** is a lie, she did it on purpose and it didnt go the way she wanted it to, she tried a publicity stunt with the hottest male pop artist at the time and it backfired...the media panned her ass for it and she took it like a woman...her career was damn near non-existant after Damito Jo

That was Whitney's hyped comeback album after a seven-year hiatus, a divorce and a triumphant return from rehab. You know that is not a comparison. That album was a flop for all the press she got.
I mean, she's 40+. Even Madonna can't get a Platinum album in the US anymore. People don't care about pop females when they're no longer young and sexy. (I'm not saying Janet's not sexy, but you know what I mean.) It's an obvious manifestation of the sexism in this country in general. Male artists can still sell when they're old because people take them seriously. When females maintain their sales throughout long careers, like Madge, they're the exceptions to the rule. Even Mariah wouldn't have gone Gold with MOAIA if she hadn't promoted so much.
She got the "Award of Merit" from the AMAs, two artistic achievement awards from the BMAs, Lena Horne award from Lady of Soul, Legend award from Mobo, inaugural MTV ICON award, Quincy Jones lifetime achievement award from Soul Train, legend award from the WMAs and lots of other irrelevant stuff.
