The only entertaining segment was the last part with the teens and the music, but I don't know why it looked like something more suited for a closing ceremony. The first two segments (about Industrial Rev and Child's Literature) were not all that, but they were very well executed nonetheless. It's more of a British thing, to be honest. The Queen's arrival was cool too.
I just want to comment on one thing. The US's thirst in the Olympics. They have bought out Jamaican athletes to compete. I know that for a fact. I understand the quest to win....but yeah. I'm sure other countries have done the same thing..So I won't lay blame.

I'm not sure what you're talking about, but I can tell you that in swimming almost every competitive athlete from every country is actually an athlete who lives in the US.

What are you talking about?
What Jamaicans are on the US team?
And I swear, if you say Sanya Richards
Either way, anyone who follows sprinting knows Jamaica is going to get KILLED this year, especially on the women's side.

I'm not saying they don't live in the their representative countries.
I haven't kept up with the female T&F...but Yohan and Bolt don't have any competition.
I heard Tyson Gay has found back his stride though.
Jamaicans still claim Sanya though.
If I became an Olympiad i would also have to participate for the USA...because I'm a naturalize citizen
But, why would Jamaica claim Sanya when all of her accomplishments are achieved in red, white, and blue? She grew up here, she became the athlete who she is by training here. That can also be said for sprinters like Veronica Campbell and Kerron Steward who live and train in the United States.
