Usually, if the game lasts long enough without dying you see your sales grow over the season.
My album, 'The Complete Dream' from one season is the best-selling album with sales around 4,000,00. It also spawned 4 #1's, and the biggest tour in the game (around like 80 dates).
It was my artist's (Bieber) Teenage Dream era.
Oh and btw, to the new girls most people promote each single in an era for 2-4 weeks. So if y'all flop this week you can still promote and get that new peak before releasing something else.

I need to go back a season and take notes.
I'm really excited to see my position this week, I already have everything planned for the album release after a few weeks, I'm aiming for the top spot.

Tbh, I focus on albums > singles in the game, but idk it was both for me I did well in.
King is the most successful artist 'cause I played every season, and this is my first time hosting. He had 18 Consecutive Top 3's (11 went #1) and he also had 5 #1 albums.
His last album got dragged tho (ask Lily). It served ARTPOP teas and everything kept flopping at first, and it barely went Platinum. Ha Christmas album sold more.

VARIOUS GROUPS ANGRY WITH CONTENTS OF 'QUEAZY' LYRIC VIDEO
'Rock me out boy, and make me Queazy.' Eight words that were enough to entice an uproar from various different groups of people. The angry social justice warriors on Tumblr have started a petition against the lyric video, encouraging YouTube to take the video down. One angry blog owner with the url 'magicpxssymonster' released a statement saying "Miranda Cosgrove has put a negative stereotype of women on display, suggesting that women are one-dimensional and boy crazy. "Why couldn't she sing about something less demeaning? She could have sang about how exciting her college lectures were, instead of feeding into the patriarchy," magicpxssymonster wrote, garnering thousands of reblogs.
Another group angry with Cosgrove are the Mothers of America, a group of Republican mothers focused on reforming the education system. Deborah Anigav, a mother of four, wrote "Any mother with moral standards would find offense with this song. Miranda is a young woman with a large fanbase of children, and I find it quite distressing that my seven year old daughter came home from school singing such suggestive lyrics." Deborah also added that, as a Mormon, she would not stand for such 'filth' to be promoted. "Either radios across the world stop playing this song, or I will be throwing out my radio."
And finally, several different cultural awareness groups threw in their two cents as well. The Arab American Community group lashed out at the contents of the video, finding it offensive that a camel would be dancing around to such degrading lyrics. The Chinese government released a statement saying a censored version of the song and a new lyric video would have to be released if Miranda wanted her song to be played in the People's Republic of China. And finally, various Tumblr blogs cried out with angst-filled tirades, slamming Cosgrove for appropriating cultures and encouraging racism. Miranda Cosgrove certainly has elicited a strong reaction out of the internet community, but will it work in her favor? Only time will tell.

Um well in every season I've played in combined he's only released 1 single that didn't go Top 3. His debut single peaked #4.
So yeah, going Top 5 was great for most labels but it was a flop in my terms.
After his first single went #4, his 2nd and 3rd single from his album were collaborations that went #1. He then released a 4th and 5th single which both went #3.
Overall his album went Platinum, but it was really good that season since the host would make sales so low. It was like the 3rd best-selling album of that season.
Then his 2nd album released before the season ended had the highest debut (350k) and the first single to ever spend 2 weeks at #1.

Taylor trying to come for Justin's wig as Biggest Artist All-Time.
She'll need 19 Consecutive Top 3's before that happens.

I think so, but I think the era was a flop.
It's a good thing I only used Justin the whole time this game existed.

I only did Taylor and Selena's sales. But Miley should be in the top 5 and Celine probably like #9 or something

Azealia Goes on The Talk
Azealia appeared on The Talk today, immediately after her appearance on 106&Park. This interview and performance all was filmed before the BET fiasco. Introduced as having the hottest music video out right now, Azealia came out to give a performance before her interview that was announced on Azealia's Twitter beforehand.
For Azealia's performance of her latest single "Vibes", Azealia wore a piece from Dolce & Gabbana and Valentino's collaboration line. The outfit was a white latex robe with fur around the edges. As Azealia sang to the audience, all that was on stage was Azealia and a microphone which left all eyes on her. During the chorus Azealia removed the white robe to reveal a red corset with lace lingerie. With her natural hair out, Azealia crawled across the stage in a seductive manner complete with even splits as she sang "Vibes". Ending the performance with a standing ovation, it was time for a commercial break and when they came back, Azealia was seen in a vertically black and white striped pencil skirt with a matching blazer, all designed by D&GB+V's collaboration. Highlights of the interview are below:
Q: Welcome Azealia! We're glad to have you here. First visits are always great
A: It's great to be here! I love watching your show. I stay tuned in every day.
Q: You're too kind! So let's talk about that song you sang, it's called "Vibes" right?
A: Yes it is called "Vibes" it's a really relaxing song that I had a lot of fun making. Me and Gold Panda made sure it was perfect.
Q: What's "Vibes" about exactly?
A: "Vibes" is a song just about going out to have fun and getting high on life you know? It's a fun relaxing song that anyone can listen to and enjoy.
- Q: You just premiered your new music video.
A: Yes I did.
Q: Well let me tell you! I love it. It's one of my favorite videos of all time. It's like watching a movie. A little mini movie. Was that what you were shooting for?
A: Oh thank you! I am glad you liked it and yeah it kind of is. I wanted it to be not just a music video but a story you know? So yeah I guess, a mini movie!
Q: Do you plan on making any more music videos like that for this upcoming album?
A: I don't know! You'll have to keep an eye out. It's really going to be something to watch for. I don't want to give too much away.
- Q: It was such a pleasure having you here, Azealia!
A: Oh it was a pleasure being here!
Q: And oh everyone in the audience, don't worry if you haven't bought "Vibes" on iTunes yet because under everyone's chair is a copy of the song in physical form, all bought! Wonderful to have you Azealia! Come back again.
