i seriously question your taste if you think the production ruins this album. the production is probably the key factor in making twigs stand out from the rest of the crowd, it sort of MAKES the album.

I listened to the album for the first time yesterday and damn it slays.
At first I found it a bit difficult to listen to in its entirety, it became a bit tiring around track 6, so I took a break but when I returned to it, I found it amazing again. Now it has started to grow on me, so I'm pretty sure I'll love it even more with more listens. Lights On, Two Weeks, Hourd, Pendulum, and Give Up are my faves atm.
Video Girl was the big grower on this album for me. It's amazing! Closer is the only song I don't like all that much, but that's probably more due to my personal taste than it being a bad song.
I still like Water Me and Papi Pacify better than anything on this album, though, and How's That and Ultraviolet are both better than at least four or five songs on LP1, so I'd say EP2 >

I actually love all of the songs. Hours annoys me sometimes though. The songwriting is amazing, but it really is the production that takes this album to the next level.
I went into listening to this thinking I would love it, but it was just ok to me. The production seems stagnant for the most part throughout the album, it just never really goes anywhere but still manages to overpower the vocals which left a very sour taste in my mouth. And while I feel like her style and image are very original, the music isn't at all. This sub-genre of alternative R&B has been done by many in the last few years. She has potential, and obviously the indie blogs and music snobs will eat this up, but for me there's too much "fluff" to enjoy the album.
Now it has started to grow on me, so I'm pretty sure I'll love it even more with more listens.
