MJ sold 422k albums, and 2.6 million digital singes the week of his death (not counting Jackson 5 stuff).
His sales had longevity, though. He ended up selling the most albums in 2009.

They passed her in March.
But she can't get lower than #4. Celine is behind by 2M and won't ever sell that much more in her career, and #5 is Eminem w/ more than 10M less.
