What Legend Rogers told me is that the NX will have a great first 2 year lineup with first party software being released more frequently. There will also be resources freed up because they will no longer have to develop the same game twice for 2 different platforms (e.g. MarioKart 7/ MarioKart 8, Animal Crossing console/handheld etc).

Smash 4 remaster, Zelda and Pikmin 4 sounds like a stellar launch imo.

That doesn't sound like a stellar launch to me. Isn't Pikmin kind of niche? And Smash 4 is already out. That leaves Zelda to attract all the fans who didn't get a Wii U? Seems like a lot resting on Zelda's shoulders. Then again, I don't think this is necessary the launch we'll get. They have to have some Mario NX game...

Mario NX will probably be a holiday 2017 title.

Miyamoto said he wants to show new Mario at next E3 possibly grabbing some things from Zelda.

Pikmin isn't mainstream. They tried so hard to make Pikmin 3 appeal to the mainstream but they couldn't.

Pikmin is definitely niche. The last one barely cracked a million copies world wide.

I think if they have Zelda, Mario Maker, Splatoon, Smash 4, and the rumored Luigi's Mansion as 1st party launch titles they'll be ok.

I wouldn't be surprised if Mario Kart 9 and Retro's new game are their big holiday games for 2017.

The new 3D Mario game probably won't come until 2018.

It's a fantastic game, just not very story heavy, at least not until the end.

For that price, yes. I'm not typically one to hand over more than $20 for any game unless it has universal acclaim.

That's a great score. It's also in my top 10 RPGs of all-time, but I'm the most vocal stan of XCX around these parts. I say you should def get it if you play RPGs for exploration/battle/immersion and don't mind playing for hours (and hours) before any plot development.

Pikmin 4 at launch would force me to buy the NX Zelda is amazing too, but if worst came to worst I could always get it on Wii U. And I already have Smash Bros.

But if Pikmin 4 launches, I will buy the NX + P4 + Smash remaster + Zelda

It's phenomenal. I sunk in 100+ hours, and still haven't beat it. It's definitely worth the money. Do you have a large enough hard drive for it though?

XCX is so good.. The graphics are amazing, the story is actually pretty cool--it gets too much hate. You can get lost in that overworld for hours, always discovering something new. You WANT to get lost in that game.

XCX doesn't have universal acclaim, but that's because it's different from XC. People wanted a straight sequel, with dramatics and all that JRPG stuff.

It's still a fantastic game and I played it for about 300h, I think. It's more about exploration and gameplay than story.

I definitely recommend it.

I hated the introduction of dual circle pads. Of course developers understand them more than they did during the PS2 era, but the left circle pad for camera control mechanic is the worst thing to happen to gaming since Microsoft joined in.
