Her problem is the inconsistency. But she's getting there, slowly, I feel like when she's gonna be in her 30s a lot will change.
And to think we already had almost 12 years of her being this huge pop girl, and she's still growing with everything. It's really beautiful to see her journey and the fact that she's growing continously.
All if this. This is why she's my favourite artist in the industry.
She's truly our generations Madonna - arguably even more compelling. I can NOT wait to see what else she has in store of us.
Her albums have been flawless since Unapologetic. I knew that there was something that made Rih stand out when I listened to 'Rated R' a very long time ago -- Unapologetic (album that made me stan again) & Anti also prove that her music is the best quality when she's the most in control of the albums direction.
And a lot of similar comments. Kinda cool seeing people reacting to her good vocals, but I'm sick of people not knowing Rih could sing that well. Like, everytime she does an amazing job since 2009. You'll find people being surprised by how amazing her voice was.
What a shame that people underestimate her performing abilities.
I feel like instead of actually searching up good performances from her they actually go by other people's opinions. It's like they don't have a mind of their own. If a bunch of people say she can't sing then that's what they're going to go by.
She's been singing the song like this at every show.

It's sad tbh.
Don't worry sis - she's been getting so much more acclaim/recognition since Unapologetic. It can only increase tbh.
It's the hardest thing about being a huge Rihanna fan - listening to people shrug her off as another generic pop girl when they've never watched a performance or have never even listened to a whole album

omg this
she is so severely underrated
but im just so happy the geepee finally saw what she can do sunday night
This has so much more potential than KIB lol. What was KIB's peak on Spotify after the video release?
Lol definately lower. It increased during the week after video reaching 130's iirc.
It was #108 on May 10th. before that, it reached its peak (#62) when ANTI was released.
That's what irritates me the most about people who say Rihs a bad performer. They're saying that without ever seeing her live or watching her from an unbiased standpoint.
Even the "lazy" comments are annoying. Yeah she may be inconsistent but she's certainly talented and works on her craft.
Thankfully with the help of Anti world tour reviews more people are seeing she has her own performance style.

It's sad it took 8 albums for the gp to realize that she's not a bad performer.
But i'm not complaining about the acclaim she's getting now.

That's the saddest thing about it all. The Navy always knew and it was like us against the world. Nobody ever gave Rih anything but doubt. Even from day one she had to prove to Roc Nation she was that bish. Sunday night was truly a night the Navy could celebrate. Now they see what we always knew.
