I love Halcyon (the album) so much, but I never could get into Anything Could Happen.

Yeah, I remember when Anything Could Happen was released I tried so hard to love it but it just wouldn't click. Then, relatively recently in fact, the majesty of it just struck me like dynamite. A beautiful anthematic song.
My favorites on the album are Dead in the Water(the tears I have sobbed), Halcyon, Atlantis()and Explosions.
Halcyon was snubbed so badly, its such an incredible album. It's so good that it made me start to think that Lights was bad which it really wasn't; it just cant compare.
Ellie really grew as an artist between the two albums. I have come to accept that her re-releases are always pleasurable throw-aways.Halcyon Days is fun trash just like Bright Lights was fun trash.
She will deliver with her next album
