I liked Fiona more than Constance But yeah, Elsa was most definitely a disgrace to Lange. She deserves much better. And, in all honesty, Paulson and Peters have been getting s*** roles since Asylum too (I'm not a huge Paulson fan but still ) Cordelia was beyond boring and bland, while Bette and Dot had literally one dimension each. Kyle can't even be called a character, and Jimmy was Evan rehashing what he always tends to play
Elsa literally felt like a parody character Like it reminded me of the parodies of Gaga from the ARTPOP era
Constance and Fiona were very similar.....Constance was a bizarre but interesting character. Fiona wasn't quite as complex but still had different levels to her.
I think my favorite character of Jessica's was Sr. Jude. There was some real character development, you saw a lot of different levels of her and she was so complex.

I actually found Fiona to be much more complex than Constance, I thought Jessica had more wow moments, and I thought she had a lot more fun moments. I do like Constance, though
Totally agreed on Jude. She's my favorite AHS character

Well, not Matt Bomer. And the Wes/Chloe rumors have me worried too
I didn't paid him attention though. but I'm curious about his character, especially his relationship with the countess- he seems to have some kind of control over her, idk.
what rumors? I like them both, and I'm fine w/ their storyline being one of the center points of the season, just hope the development is good.

I'm actually interested in seeing how they'll reinterpret those familiar horror characters. Chloe as a remake of Wendy sounds absolutely fantastic, because I already sympathize with ha.
And Wes playing a psycho would be FANTASTIC, because I think he'd be great as a villaiin like he is in my season.

It's not that I don't like the characters (Wendy is underrated, as is Shelley Duvall's performance) or the movies, just... I'd rather watch Ryan do something original than "homage" horror classics. And I feel like, a lot of the time, his attempts at "reinterpreting" just end up feeling rip-offey (tons of stuff in Murder House,
Stanley's
death in Freak Show...)
I mean, it's possible they'll use those as jumping grounds and have it play out in TOTALLY different ways or something and I'll be swallowing my words. But I'm really skeptical.

That death in Freak Show didn't feel like a rip-off because they mentioned the movie it was a reference to just moments before it happened. It was a great comparison.
But I see your point. I'm usually skeptical about AHS, too, but I'm actually really excited for that; I don't care much about Donovan becoming another Norman Bates because I'm already fed up with Psycho after Bates Motel happened, but the Lowes being the new Torrances sounds fun.
Oh, I see it now. Maybe he will points towards that when it comes to his mom, but I feel like the relationship with woman in general is not affected by that part os his life...at least I expect it's not. it would be frustrating to watch. but we already know that
he is going to seek some kind of revenge on the Countess

Acknowledging your ripping off Freaks doesn't change the fact you're ripping off Freaks. At least in my book
To be fair, I'm pretty sure Donovan Bates will be better than the atrocity called Bates Motel. He's the bigger concern though. There's a lot of ways for Wes and Chloe to draw inspiration from The Shining without completely cloning it. (Watch Ryan miss all of them ) But yeah, I'm not slamming it yet, just preparing for the worst
