But other times, he absolutely slayed it. The way he was able to portray Spalding without saying a single word for most of Coven, along with a lot of his time as Larry, was great. Spalding was a flop 80% of the time, but I'll blame that on the writing because most people were terrible in Coven aside from like 4 people; though everyone had some shining moments.

Agreed. She's a great actress, and she killed it in Asylum and Coven, but Ryan kept giving her the same role with the same function over and over. It got really tiring, and I feel like Hotel will be a lot more enjoyable with the formula being changed

She sure as hell didn't make Freak Show. Just the opposite, actually And a lot of viewers are actually pretty relieved she's gone for the reasons I stated (plays the same character again and again. That's not her fault, but)

Exactly. I love Jessica and all of her characters, but they all were just super HBIC that smoked and drank a lot. This season needed a breath of fresh air and thats certainly what its serving me.

I'm not commenting as a monster I'm commenting as a HUGE AHS stan since it's Pilot episode. I've been tired of Jessica ever since Coven.

And I can already tell it's gonna be refreshing considering her bitchy character (blame Ryan) will be off my screen.

Never heard of anyone being happy Jessica isn't returning. It caused meltdowns. She didn't make or ruin Freak Show. Freak Show was just a disaster.

You haven't spoken to the people I have. Just about everyone I know is super relieved Jessica is gone after Freak Show (mainly since Ryan always gives her the exact same role, if he'd given her a different role and a different role size they'd be fine) It's the same reason everyone is glad Evan isn't playing an angsty character and Sarah is playing a villain this year.

Freak Show was a disaster, but Elsa stood out as one of the worst AND stalest parts.

I liked Fiona more than Constance But yeah, Elsa was most definitely a disgrace to Lange. She deserves much better. And, in all honesty, Paulson and Peters have been getting s*** roles since Asylum too (I'm not a huge Paulson fan but still ) Cordelia was beyond boring and bland, while Bette and Dot had literally one dimension each. Kyle can't even be called a character, and Jimmy was Evan rehashing what he always tends to play
