If they stop seeing K$ as moneymaking potential, all they'll have to do is pay her out, so I don't put too much stock into those rumours. Even if such a contract exists, it can be terminated pretty easily. Those types of deals exist to keep talent stuck at the label when things take off. If her career stops being lucrative, they're not gonna keep her around just because they have her for a certain number of albums.

Despite her multiple commercial failures over the last few months, she would likely get picked up by another label immediately if the contract with RCA was terminated. The girl still achieved a lot between 2009 and 2011 and has potential.

I agree, clearly it's not as if she doesn't know how to capture people's interests and besides she can at least deliver an album that even critics can fare well to. She'll be fine.

That definitely is not the case with Warrior. The album is sort of solid, but doesn't have many "hit worthy" songs.
Several things went wrong in this era (some of which, were not in Ke$ha's or RCA's control):
-Diamonds being released around the same time as DY, which blocked Die Young its whole chart run
-Sandy Hook tragedy (RIP btw), which cut DY's chart run shorter, leaving less impact
-Only one single released before the album dropped. Ke$ha does not have enough starpower or hype around her for RCA to have pulled that move. Warrior could've opened with more if there was a hit second single before its release
-Generic second single choice. C'mon is an OK song, but it's subject matter has gotten played out and it isn't much of an earworm like DY was. It was kind of a boring song altogether. Wasn't single worthy.
-Not enough promo
-Crazy Kids should've not been released. At least not the this moment. It isn't much of an earworm either, for RCA to try and rebound off of C'Mon
In my opinion, the only songs that should('ve) be(en) released are: Die Young, Last Goodbye, Thinking Of You. Those are the songs that anyone could tell would fare well on radio and in sells. They are catchy, and the subject matters are diverse compared to Warriors single choices thus far.
Sorry, I just had to express this. I barely post on here anymore :/

I hate it, but it's a little true. Crazy Kids would've done much better during the first half of the year than C'Mon. Thinking of You or Last Goodbye for the summer and then close out the era with a fall single released in August.

I agree with some of this. I feel as though some people love to blame the label for a lot but everyone has cases of mismanagement from time to time.

It was never a single from the Re-Up just the last single from PFRR.
But Kesha should pull a Radar type thing with Slaynatural

If we get MCBL S2 this year, I believe we will get the fourth single.

I agree with TiKToK tbh!! Die Young is an earworm and C'mon is way too dated + generic to smash.

I feel like if Supernatural was released it would smash. It's the one song on Warrior everyone knows and pretty much loves (or at least the chorus ).

So, if Last Goodbye is released and it flops what will be our excuse? it's too indie-folk-alternative and the public isn't used to this side of her?

She needed to flop hard so she could find a new niche since the party thing was getting old.

It doesn't matter if it flops or not. The whole thing is letting her have artistic freedom and chose the singles herself. Even if it flops, it'll still be a choice she made flopping, not a choice her record label pushed on her flopping. It'll still be a good choice regardless if it flops or not..
