David Bowie was one of the most influantial artists for 3 decades but he never sold that much.

No of course not, she will continue to make her music and have a niche audience kind of like Fiona Apple, she might even get better with time and make amazing music. But unless she runs to someone like Dr. Luke or does something really desperate I don't see any more mainstream success.

Yeah, but even last fall they had a 79% drop in second week sales (From 540K+ to 109K). If that's the case with this album, they'll be seeing less than 100K second week alone so whatever increases they have in the last few weeks of the winter (which will literally be like 2 weeks left) will barely push them past Gold and before you know it, they're in the dead-season of sales that is January and they won't get a hit to push the album any further so it'll just keep falling.
