Zedd Performs
The stage is cloaked in white fog. It is impossible to see anything aside from shadows. Suddenly, a sound comes from the left of the stage. A figure runs onto the stage from the left. Suddenly, we see a hat, beige and brown clothes, and a whip… could it be Indiana Jones? Well, kinda, it’s Indiana Zedd! The crowd starts to cheer. The fog then begins to clear up. The set is revealed to be a temple of Hindu origin. Zedd, looking around the temple, almost runs into a pillar. He backs away from it, goes around it, and continues walking to the right. He discovers a DJ booth. Zedd walks over to and onto it. “I believe I need to use this to get it,” he said, apparently to no one in particular. He touches the turntables. A short burst of audio is heard. He pauses for a second, and then begins to play the set.
“Slay” starts to play. It is played for about 30 seconds before the power to the DJ booth is cut. Zedd yells out, “Stefani, where are you? I need you to fix this.” Lady Gaga walks out from the left of the stage, telling Zedd, “I’m right here, I’m coming.” The crowd cheers again. Gaga is wearing a Hindu-inspired top and skirt with sandals. She runs to the DJ deck, and messes with a couple things, and then the power is restored to the DJ deck. “You’re welcome,” Gaga says before Zedd can even say thanks to her. “T- t- thanks?” Zedd replies awkwardly. Zedd then commences playing the music again. “Temple” starts to play. Gaga starts singing the song, note-for-note, perfectly. She is alone for the first verse and chorus, but her dancers come out for the breakdown. She dances with them for the second verse and chorus. Gaga inexplicably collapses just before the bridge, and her dancers do so as well. Zedd is the only one in the temple that is unaffected by this apparent curse.
Zedd runs over to Gaga, and realizes that the temple is now lacking in oxygen. Of course there had to be some trap; this one is just so unexpected and different. Zedd then runs to the back of the stage and fights his way through obstacles to the top of a structure in the middle back of the stage. Once he reaches the top, he pulls a lever, sending a rush of oxygen into the room. Zedd runs back to the DJ booth and starts playing the song just in time for Gaga to wake up. “What happened?” she said. Zedd replied, “There was a lack of oxygen in the room. I fixed it already.” Gaga, as a way of saying thanks, starts singing again. She delivers her powerhouse vocals perfectly- even better than on the studio version! Her dancers then woke up and danced with her during the final chorus and breakdown. A 15-second snippet of “Not a Single Problem” then started playing quietly as Zedd grabs something from behind the DJ deck and runs to Gaga. “We got it! The golden record!” he said, to applause from the audience. Gaga then told Zedd urgently, “Let’s get out of here, Indy.” Zedd replied, “We have a bit of ti- What was that?“ He was interrupted by a boulder coming from where Zedd pulled the lever to save Gaga and the dancers. This is where “Not a Single Problem” stopped playing. “Let’s roll,” said Zedd to Gaga. They run off stage right, as a 15-second snippet of “I Found You” plays. The audience then applauded and cheered for them, and gave then a standing ovation. Everyone in the venue and at home loved the performance.
