Well, Avril and Hilary really were from two worlds apart. Hilary was seen as the pristine Disney girl, a role model for the most common teenager whose parents were control freaks.
Avril, on the other hand, was carefree, flamboyant, and very obscene - she was a good role model (heck, I grew up with her and I wouldn't want anybody else as my role model!), she didn't do drugs or alcohol or any of that crazy ****, but that punk image isn't something most parents want their kids to grow up with.
One of the best songs on TBDT.
That girl was like 'Avril is so overrated' and then in her sig she has Avril.
