We're not electing a First Lady. We're electing a President. And bashing the First Ladies is uncalled for. Who would CHOOSE that job? Both Michelle and Hillary were good, activist wives with plenty of their own accomplishments. Laura Bush supported causes she believed in and obviously believed in her husband. Yes, Jane Sanders is great but please don't try to build her up by diminishing other First Ladies. It doesn't speak well of you or her.

Our current First Lady, Michelle Obama, is the most down-to-earth, sincere, public figure in decades. By bashing predecessors, you're not doing Jane Sanders any favors, or gaining supporters. I find it quite the opposite. Bernie supporters have taken to bashing as a way of promoting their favored candidate and it's quite unappealing.

What a crap hit piece! You want to promote Sanders and his wife, fine. But this is a hit piece against Hillary Clinton, period. And it dismisses many fine contributions Mrs. Clinton made as FLOTUS. I attended the then astonishing accomplishment of the first First Lady and first representative of a president, to keynote HRC (a pro gay rights group) back in 1993.

Further, nowhere in this hit piece does the hitman even mention Mrs. Obama or Mrs. Bush except in the first sentence, not one word explaining how or when they somehow do not/did not represent the nation.

Making judgments about an individual's financial situation in an attempt to "drag" Hillary is insulting in itself, but yes, in modern society people use "poor" as an insult. That's not new or something exclusive to me. It might not be a good thing, sure, but it's a thing.

Speaking as the son of a hard working single mother, someone who receives the maximum possible need-based federal aid for college (one of literally two people out of everyone I know from my school), and someone who has worked not only to contribute to my family but also to help put myself through college, I think I have the right to find that kind of comment offensive.
