Azealia Hosts and Performs on SNL, Revealing Album Cover
Azealia Banks was announced as the host of Saturday Night Live weeks ago with no information on who would perform. Many were speculating who it was but the surprise performer was revealed just this past Wednesday as Azealia Banks herself. Returning to the music industry, Azealia Banks has made a triumphant return to the business with the success of her latest single "Metamorph" which was released as a surprise on iTunes. With Azealia owning all the banners on iTunes to promote Metamorph, people knew Azealia meant business. People couldn't wait to see what she would do with her first time hosting the legendary sketch comedy show. No one had ever seen Azealia do humor beforehand or ever host a show. This was something completely new and different for Azealia. However, you'd never be able to tell she'd never done this before by her opening monologue. One quote from the opener was "See, I never thought I'd be able to do something like this. You know, talking in front of people. " Azealia even made jokes about her past by referencing the time she got hit by a bus during the Domination era. Making light of situations and bringing chuckles from near and far, Azealia made her time hosting Saturday Night Live something everyone would want to see and something everyone would enjoy. Reviews called the program "hilarious" and "the funniest rapper we've ever seen". Saturday Night Live got record high ratings for the season with Azealia hosting. One thing for sure about Azealia's time there, NBC will definitely want her back after getting 9.2 million viewers.
The sketches throughout the show were really something else. Each of the sketches had something special about them. A highlight of the night was the game show sketch in which Azealia played a mentally insane game show contestant who flicked her teeth out with her tongue in the middle of the segment. The game show bit has since been placed on NBC's YouTube account where even the most vicious trolls have to admit Azealia showed the typical low comedy known for Saturday Night Live. Another sketch Azealia starred in on the show involved Azealia being a yoga instructor circa 1987 at a bus stop. Azealia approached a typical man and began to harass him telling him to "feel the sun beams flow inside you and make you bloom from inside and out" as the crowd laughed at the man's uncomfortable reaction. The sketch was a hit and even involved Azealia singing Physical by Olivia Newton John which got great praise from the audience who said Azealia truly showed off good vocal work and showed that her talent is always prevalent. Entertainment Weekly described Azealia as a host on Saturday Night Live as "Surprisingly entertaining. A wonderful boost in the so far tragic season of hosts. With fans going wild, one can suspect this will not be the last we hear from Azealia on NBC's legendary late night program."
Azealia's first performance of the night was of the standard original version of "Metamorph" which got acclaimed as "emotional" and "beautiful." During the performance Azealia wore a white Givenchy gown that flowed to the floor. With ripples and waves within the gown, she wore a piece of art wrapped around her. Along with the gown, Azealia had a silver white powder flowing up on her face, giving a strong highlight to her nose. With white eyeliner and a glossy lip, Azealia's makeup gave the idea of her being a beautiful snow goddess. Her hair was tied in braids that were fashioned into an intricate spherical shape on top of her head. The hair sat on top of Azealia's head in a spherical form giving the idea of 1700s Marie Antoinette meets an African goddess. The look Azealia gave got praised by Vogue as "true high fashion." At the start of the first performance by Azealia she looked out into the audience with a lacy white fan covering her face. The instrumental played as Azealia's face remained covered. 6 backup dancers painted bright white with bodypaint, leaving them nude, stood in groups of 3 parallel and directly behind Azealia. They sang in a church choir way giving an eerie feel. When it came time to sing, Azealia snapped the fan and strut to the front of the stage where she sang the entirety of Metamorph without skipping a beat. The performance of Azealia singing Metamorph was uploaded onto Azealia's VEVO account immediately following.
While a performance of Metamorph was expected considering its release was only a few days beforehand, no one knew what Azealia would perform next. She had no other songs released off the upcoming album at the moment. However, Azealia still did a second performance. After a few more sketches and a commercial break, Azealia was back on stage. This time she performed a cover of David Bowie's "Space Oddity" which was later revealed by Azealia to be on the deluxe version of Azealia's upcoming album The Dying Stars. Azealia wore metallic silver overalls during the performance and had her braids laid down in a "normal" form. Azealia's performance of Space Oddity was very relaxed as she sat on a stool with a man playing guitar next to her and another man playing the synth to her left. The performance was praised by NME as a "different and better side to Azealia we have yet to see." While performing Space Oddity, she mixed in lyrics of Metamorph as well. After the performance of Space Oddity, the cover of The Dying Stars appeared on the screen with the words "Coming January 10th" immediately following.
Both the performances were praised for showing off Azealia's vocals. Metamorph gained a significant sales increase on iTunes and radio began to start playing the single more and more after the performance. "Azealia on SNL" was trending on Twitter for hours after the night was done with. Azealia eventually tweeted the cover after the night was done with, to further confirm that was indeed the album cover. Along with that, a link to pre-order The Dying Stars also went up. The tweet has since gotten 23k retweets. Be sure to pre-order The Dying Stars today as well as purchase Metamorph on iTunes.

Adriana Releases First Promo Single; "911"
Adriana Lima surprised release the first promo single off her upcoming studio album. The single was released to iTunes.

The song has been described as a "raunchy, grinding, slippery" song in which Adriana commands her lover to "ring the fire alarm" and "dial 911, it's an emergency!" in a frantic attempt to get her lover to love her harder. She doesn't hold back on the sexiness and is stirring controversy.
A music video is being filmed this week for the promo single. People are buzzing that Adriana may be releasing her new album as early as next week, with a few more promo singles planned. It was confirmed by member's of her team they shot the photoshoot for the album and the video for Model Behavior was filmed in New York City.
Adriana also tweeted that the music video for Model Behavior is coming tonight and will reveal the title of her album.

Selena Gomez On Jimmy Kimmel
Selena Gomez is officially back in the US! She made her first appearance on late night TV with Jimmy Kimmel. He introduced her by saying "Tonight, we have a very special guest. She has #1 hits, she has #1 albums, she has been on vacation all over the world and now she is back home in the US making her first televised appearance, she is Selena Gomez!". The audience welcomed Selena Gomez with roaring applause. Selena revealed that she is getting back in the swing of things and filled Jimmy in on her heavy schedule "Ya know, after being on such a long break, it feels good to be working again. I have The View tomorrow along with a benefit which will air on ABC tomorrow night, which will help aid the lack of extra-curricular programs in inner-city school systems. Then I am back in Paris for one night only, as part of my 7 Nights In Heaven trip. I'm doing Le Grand Journal on the 29th and then performing in Spain on the 30th. THEN I'm back in the US and I'm doing MTV's New Years Eve. And I have a few surprises. So yeah, my schedule's pretty packed."
She expanded on the benefit saying “I filmed it a few months ago, and like I said, it’s to benefit inner city schools. Because what’s happening is that these schools lack so much funding, so they end up having to cut things they don’t see as necessary. And music, arts and sports programs are SO important. But when it comes between that, and things like math, english & science, we obviously know which one has to go”. She revealed that she was teaming up with Lebron James, Dwyane Wade and Carmelo Anthony and many college-level basketball players for the event. The event will feature a charity basketball game, performances by Selena and more.
Jimmy then went on to ask why Selena has been promoting this album longer than most artists’ promote theirs “Well I think part of it is that I invested so much into this album. I worked so hard on it. I wrote & produced more than I ever have and I can genuinely say this album is a part of me. A lot of artists release another album every time you turn around. And it’s because they wanna try to keep up with what everyone else is doing. And personally for me, I’ve never like, recorded or released because someone told me too. I’ve always done it on my own terms. So I can take my time creating my next album and I can still focus on this one.”
They also talked about what music Selena was into “As always, I love Beyonce. Drake is another one of my favorites. Mariah, Taylor, Christina, all great artists. When asked about if she’d be collabing with anyone on her next album “That’s a very big possibility. I may be collabing with some people I haven’t, and maybe some people that I have. Guess you’ll just have to wait and see.” When on the subject of her collaborations, Jimmy brought up the fact that she has never collaborated with a female. “The right opportunity has never come up” she said “There was the track with Demi Lovato. But let me explain how that went. A friend of mine was friends with the writers of the track. And I recorded it solo as a favor and just to see how it would sound. It was originally a solo record. When I decided not to use it, they sent the song to Demi. And I guess when they had her recorded, they mixed our vocals to make it a collaborations. I was going to stop the release since they did it without my permission, but after several business meetings we decided upon an agreement that I liked. So I allowed the song to be released.”
Later in the episode, she performed her single “What You See” with a live band. She wore a cream skirt, top and jacket by Juan Carlos Obando. Several fashion publications, including Vogue, praised her look saying “Selena does not save her high fashion moments for the red carpet. She is a style maven everywhere.” and “A testament to Selena’s status as a style icon is that she does not stick to the typical big name designers. She is not afraid to wear designers who are rarely worn by celebrities and big names. Not afraid to bring something to the forefront.”

There's a bit of mess for these tv and radio performances. I think we need a format so there will not be any trouble or misconception. Like a booking list. And not my SNL getting snatched.
