I don't think you needed to explain in a long essay, I just judged my entries mostly based on what the essay said and I just thought yours was a little unfocused. If you had just said, "it's a carefree and fun bouncy song that I can get lost in," or if you would have given more description, I wouldn't have listed you as an off choice.
But like I said, I've been enjoying your entries overall and I'm only one vote.
