It has me hyped, and there's more today:
#4. Multiple Themes and Subjects
In MWR3, the player will be able to select multiple themes for their band’s next record. This will also mean that you will be able use old recordings on subsequent records, which is also something new. Of course, players may still elect to choose one theme for the occasional epic “concept” record. As in MWR2, the success of the theme of the record will still factor in the record’s reviews.
We will also be bringing back an oldie from the first game: subjects. As outlined by YoungLondon, subjects will be grouped under a parent 'Theme'.
So, let’s say you select a Theme titled “Love Songs”. This will pull from a variety of stats - Mainstream, Singing, Sex Appeal, etc - as it works in MWR2. And under that theme, you have a variety of Subjects - First Love, Falling in Love, Teen Love, Love at First Sight, etc. When you send your artist into the studio to record, and select “Love Songs” as the theme, all of the songs written and recorded will display their Subjects next to them instead of the theme, giving the album not only a diverse subject matter, but subjects that are all related and appropriate together..
This, of course, can all be edited in the game editor.
