I really love the video, and I'm super glad Katy had Erika in the video, because of her androgany. The video has many multipe meanings.
It could be about
-a girl singing to a guy
-a girl singing to a girl
-a girl singing to a gay guy who hasn't come to terms with his sexuality
-a girl singing to a transgender/transexual
Erika was a perfect choice because she can portray all this in one simple lyric video. Thats why i really like it. And like Katy stated, "its about all kinds of love"
