Synopsis:
"Tears Dry on Their Own" was the fourth single from Back to Black. The lyrics and melody were composed by Amy, but the music behind her voice is a sample of "Ain't No Mountain High Enough". The music video was shot in Los Angeles and was directed by David LaChapelle. It features Amy alone in her hotel room and walking the art deco inspired streets by herself. The song describes a time when she was away from Blake, and how his absence clearly didn't do her any good. Amy still has her first three singles remaining.

"Tears Dry..." almost always had a solid position in the top ten, getting the highest amount of tens we've seen so far. But it was those two heartless scores of a two that ended its chances of getting any higher.
