I want to get into her but not sure where to start
Well her discography is quite diverse and every stan ends up loving a different album more than another one, depends on your taste. I suggest you go to her youtube page and go through a few of her songs. Her older stuff is R&B, and then it really branches of into a lot of different genres that are hard to describe as one thing.
I guess someone can suggest specific songs based on what types of music you say you like
Well I quite enjoy R&B, and I know that it will probably trigger you guys but listening to music in another language has never been a great experience for me I know she has a few English albums so i'll probably start there. and work my way in.

Yeah it was hard to me at first, but after you get past the language barrier its so amazing

I mean, a lot of her Western fans know her because of her english songs "Simple and Clean" and "Sanctuary", including me. If it was good enough for us to start stanning, it's good enough for you I'm sure Try them.
And if you're still insistent on whole english albums. Exodus and This Is The One are your choices. TITO is more generic and Exodus is more experimental. I LOVEEE Exodus, but neither album is representative of her Japanese music, which is superior
You Make Me Want To Be A Man still goes off, Exodus really is that album. I still can't believe they led with Easy Breezy . What a disaster. I'm sure the few people who bought the album because of the first single were like...what the hell is this weird music
Honestly I love Easy Breezy but her team was dumb for making it a single. Utada has said in interviews it's supposed to be a silly, comedic song but I feel like that type of song never really translates well in motion. People would rather assume the artist is trash than consider that the song is supposed to be tongue in cheek

You just named my quadrinity
The way the dance beat on Devil Inside and The Workout PUNCH when you least expect it. It should be illegal to do what she did to my brainwaves that day I first listened to that album
I can't believe you don't like The Workout. The lyrics are flawless and the instrumental is so fun. That born again Christian line she threw in there, slay me queen
I dont mind The Workout but i always find myself skipping it, idk
I love the fact that she produced Exodus, imo the production sounds very amateurish. In a good way tho, like you can tell she did everything. similar to Art Angels.
