10-15 years ago Eros was really big in Germany, since then no one from Italy was major. I think Germany could now love some quality music ftom Italy again.

Eros had more than one international hit and that made him a lasting star. Same with Laura. Tiziano only had Perdono in Europe, so he's just a one hit wonder, and his songs haven't been catchy enough to cross the border a second time.
This era he tried to make it in Germany with
this, but this duet is pretty terrible, no wonder it didn't do anything.
He had far more success in Latin America, but he was instantly banished after the Mexican controversy. He hasn't had much success in Spanish/Portuguese markets since then, not even in Spain itself. So only Italy remains. He'd need to do something more generic/electronic for other countries to pay attention again.
