Do you guys drive standard or automatic?

I go to Italy often so I really need to learn how to drive standard but with my (lack of) coordination, I don't see that happening.

Don't be scared, there's nothing to it. Once you start venturing out often enough, it becomes second-nature.

I'm waiting till I live in a warmer climate to drive (i.e. back in Vancouver when snow is an excuse to stay home.) because there is no way I'm driving during the snowstorms Calgary has.

I also really enjoy walking, and its free! (I once walked home from Downtown Calgary - 4 1/2 hours. Only bad part were the damn hills.)

Sadly, this is exactly what I looked like in that situation lol. And that's not even the worst! There was the time I sucked it up and took driver's training...but they asked me to stop coming until I got more practice on my own.

There was also a time my darling BF wanted to try to teach me on a four wheeler at his dad's farm...but I got scared and jumped from the moving vehicle. I AM THE WORST!

not really...I'm getting a cavity filled and my license renewed

I'm going to probably just hang out with my friends from home...I actually more than anything just want to veg out and relax...the past two weeks have been trying times to say the least (back to back to back papers and midterms...I made it out in one piece but today is the last exam soooo yup)

I think twenties are the best years but then any age is better than being a teen, you got your own job and I was very lucky after I finished college I got a job that pays a lot of cash so I feel very independent and now I can buy everything I want which is basically loads of clothes and hand bags

My family keeps pushing me to take driving lessons so I can get a license, but I refuse to. Ain't no way in hell I'm gonna be sharing the road with wreckless, psychotic drivers . Being a pedestrian is already risky enough where I live. Besides, it's not like I'll be able to afford a car anytime soon (even a used one), so what's the rush? I feel independent enough using public transportation to go everywhere I need to. I'm cool with never learning how to drive.

THIS. I'm glad I'm not the only one. Driving is STRESSFUL and I am not interested. As evidenced on previous pages in this thread, I will more often than not stop the car in the middle of the road, cry, jump out, or any combination of those actions...haha. I live in Toronto so public transit is everywhere here, I just hop on the subway...plus there is no parking in this city so it's better being a non driver. That being said, my BF does drive and have a car, so when we want to go on trips and stuff that's covered.

I'll learn someday...but until then I'll be all:

I don't really have/need a car. Public transport where I live is fine just as is, but I'd still like to learn. I think I have nothing on that driving cat in the .gif

Calgary has terrible public transportation. Its faster to legit to walk places, then take the bus. I've often considering running for mayor just so I could fire the people behind Calgary Transit, cause its been the same idiots for years.

It's the same here in Windsor... 20-30 minute waits for busrides... PLUS one time while I was on a bus, I met with one bus that was intersecting, so ofcourse I assumed they would wait for all the people getting out of the bus cause it was an intersecting point where all busses wait. But than when I got there jogging a little the bus started driving away. YOU CANNOT IMAGINE HOW MAD I WAS I was steaming!!!!!

I really want to drive. I love driving. It helps me cool off. But I haven't really been driving here plus I cannot imagine big cities like toronto and new york cause I hate traffic!!!!
