Eh, i just watched it and my response was : That's It?
The main idea about Hunger Games is great i think,
idk, i haven't read the book, but the movie is missing something...., i don't know.
maybe i need to read the book first.
But it's funny how i already hate the girl from District 2 because i still loathe Esther in Orphan
LOL

Great great movie
Before even seeing the movie I heard about the Battle Royale comparison and the similarities are really obvious, it's almost 90% Battle Royale: the premise, progression, ending, etc. Note: I never read the book.
Similarities aside the movie is really amazing, it's one of those films that really drags you inside its world and I didn't really notice that it lasted for 2 hours.
The BEST PART of the movie though:

The arena scenes are much shorter in this book. 90% of it takes place in district 12. That book is more about the rebellion than the 75th Hunger Games.

Please no. I'm planning to read all of the books and so far people managed to ruin a lot for me.

I just came back from the movie. I enjoyed it. There were obviously differences since the movie can't be exactly like the book. But for an adaptation it was really good. Peeta was giving me orgasms throughout the whole damn movie.

Saw it today. Kind of disappointed. But i am not much of a fan...never read the books. It kinda dragged too much at first. But once they started with the games it was aight.
Sucks that i knew some stuff beforehand from the "Safe And Sound" video comments, though. Should have avoided that.

I finally saw the movie after reading the first two books and half of the third book within a week. I was not expecting any of what I saw in the movie, which could be both good and bad. First of all, I never saw a single preview of the movie because I knew that it would ruin it for myself. I didn't even read into who the cast members were because I wanted to develop my own mental image of what they should look like. In terms of casting, they did an amazing job for the most part. Though, I won't lie, I never imagined Thresh and Rue as being African Americans when I read the book. Same with Cinna. But I like that they were in the movie. And they did a ****ing phenomenal job on the outfits and hairstyles of the people in the Capitol. It truly felt out of this world, and exceeded my expectations. The arena was amazing, too.
You know what I hated, though? Katniss. But I have ever since I read the novels. But Jennifer Lawrence did a great job as Katniss, and made her more likeable. And she's so beautiful. I didn't really care for Liam Hemsworth as Gale, though. But then again, I'm Team Peeta so I'm biased. My favorite part of the entire movie was Josh Hutcherson as Peeta. I like him a million more times than Taylor Lautner, Robert Pattinson, Daniel Radcliffe, and Rupert Grint combined. Overall it was an amazing movie, and I now have a better understanding of the characters. It did kind of suck that they left out some of the best details, but it's to expected when you're cramming a lengthy novel into a two hour film.

It was very clear in the book that they were black. Just by the little details they said in the book you could clearly know that they were black. I find it very weird that many people didn't expect them to be black. I can understand that you didn't think Cinna would be black, I just imagined him being a tanned gay boy.
They did a great job on this movie, there was not that much action but I knew there wouldn't be. I mean they had to explain so much in this movie for the people who didn't read the book. I was kinda sad how it ended because you could say based on the ending there will happen more or you could say nothing will happen anymore. I must say that I almost cried when Katniss volunteered and when Rue died.

As amazing as it was, I agree that the film is missing "something". I think it's because of the huge difference between the books being in first person. In the books you see why everything happens and why Katniss does what she does, and theres a huge other dimension to the books that you don't see in the film.
