People on here actually believing that Katy changed her mind, this deal was hammered out and prepared for an announcement within the period from when she stated she refused to pay and yesterday. Negotiations take weeks, if not months.
This deal was clearly already done and dusted by the time she stated she refused to pay. Paying would be a complete waste of money for any record company, unless the figure was in the low thousands. It would be near impossible for them to make a profit if the cost was even half a million.
