If you want to try other artists with a 70's classic rock sound I would recommend America (they're well known for "Horse With No Name") and Neil Young's album Harvest.

Yeah he was a total mess for that.

But tbh I'm happy things worked out how they did, because regardless of how it was such an obvious clone they really did produce some great songs. Plus it was good for the group in the long run anyway because their album after was absolute perfection imo.
