But I loved that it happened this soon, and oh man, what an episode! Things are moving forward and the Starks are in for a comeback!

Yeah same. It was way too simple for something that's been hyped for so long and was the topic of conversation everything GoT is mentioned.

I like Melisandre a lot more now that she's had a crisis of confidence. And LOL at Ramsey sealing his doom by killing his father.
But one thing I don't get is that a couple of series ago all the dead bodies at Castle Black would become undead, so why didn't that happen to Jon?

I think it's because we've been expecting this scene for a year at the veeeery least, so we've had all that time to speculate and come up with our own ideas of the best way for it to go down that the actual thing was never going to satisfy everyone's tastes because everyone wanted and hoped for something different. They kinda shot themselves in the foot with that one a bit but meh, the shock for me still came from the fact that they did it so early into the season. I was expecting him to stay dead for at least another couple episodes.

Yeah, the fact that it happened this early in the season is why I'm not to bothered with it. I'm now just excited too see the "new" Jon in action and how different he might now be.

TBH the endgame is looking to be like all the big/noble houses will be extinct and someone else will take over, most likely bastards.
House Bolton is gone.... just Ramsay left, he'll bite it soon.
House Martell was taken last week, are the Sand Snakes/Ellaria really going to rule?
House Baratheon, gone with Shireen burned and Stannis dead.
House Arryn... Lysa is dead, Robin will join her.... Littlefinger takes over.
House Lannister is always in danger, Kevin will die soon as will Tommen. Jamie, Tyrion and Cersei left, will they really have more kids?
House Tyrell... Loras might die and Margeary might have kids, they might be ok.
House Stark and Tully still have kids alive, Sansa, Arya, Bran, Rickon and Jon. Rickon might die and can Bran reproduce? It seems like Sansa's kids will carry out the name unless she makes Jon a Stark and has kids as well. I don't know about Arya.

It's interesting that you bring up House Arryn. Robin might be a sickly child, but he has by far the safest keep and from what we can gather his vassals are quite powerful too and most of all loyal. They've managed to stay very lowkey in all the **** that's gone down even though they basically started everything. LF owns the Eyrie now but he is juggling so many different plots (and has gone MIA?), I would be surprised if he pulls it all off without stumbling somewhere.
Who knows? The whole game of thrones started with House Arryn and I think there's a chance it ends with them.
Regarding the Tyrells, I need the Queen of Thorns to take control again. Where she at?

I think the resurrection scene was so grounded in reality (the jesus analogy) because like you said it added to the tension. If she had done something over the top, like real manifestation of magic or used fire like Thoros of Myr in season 3, everyone at the moment would've thought "yes, he's coming back for sure, she's doing too much for it to be for nothing + we already saw resurrection with fire and it works".
Here it's the opposite, it's almost too simple, she's doing it but with a defeated look, she's barely believing in anything she's doing, she's broken. The audience immediately emphasize with her and do not believe either, then it builds up to everyone defeated leaving the room and BAM.

The Tower of Joy teaser in the episode 3 trailer has me on the edge of my seat I remember reading it in the book and getting goosebumps.

When they did the medium wide shot of Melisandre chanting the words I thought of Tauriel curing Kili in the 2nd Hobbit movie. That scene was quite OTT with a whole light show, slow-motion and stuff so I'm happy this panned out a lot more understated. Jon's first gasp felt really visceral. Really liked it!

Jon and Daenerys are THE main characters, if all the theories are right, one of them (or both) will save everyone in the end.
|
Yeah, and they’ll die in the process.

Dany's my main bitch I hate how slowly her story is progressing. Like we got a few seconds with her last week and she's not even in this week's episode. I bet she'll still be walking again next week because that's how slowly things happen with her
Edit: But it WASN'T ****. Like what do you expect them to talk about? politics and ****ing aged wine? It was done in a proper manner and came across as nothing but some sort of comedy which was absent throughout the WHOLE episode. (inb4 ZOMG RAPE IS NOTHING TO JOKE ABOUT!1!!!) and it's certainly miles better than that absolutely awkward and out-of-place "good gurl bad *****" crap.
Can't wait for more of that and my Dothraki daddies

♚ PRiNCE HiGH ♚ with the good opinions.
The Dothraki were the best part of E1. I didn't realize how much I missed them until I heard them say "it is known."
I wish they hadn't killed off all of Dany's Dothraki handmaidens. I was looking forward to her and Irri's sex scenes.

I thought you could only become a wight if you were killed by an Other or another wight? I'm pretty sure I'm wrong though.

I'm so happy!
So so so so happy!
The Goddess of Light, Savior of our Savior, Queen of the North and the Wall and the Wildlings, Washer of Abs and Trimmer of Curls, She of the Flames and the Shadow Demons and the Burning of Children really came through for us this week
Thanks Mel, love you bitch!
I can't wait for
Jon<3<3<3
to wreck all the disloyal ****ers who did him wrong.
Also GHOST <3 Omg as soon as Davos and Melisandre left I was like "YES this is perfect, so fitting that Ghost is the first/only one to see him wake up right away."
Love what they're doing with the Iron Islands, love Theon leaving (Sansa don't need that loser), and I'm glad Arya's storyline is progressing faster than I expected lol.
Oh and I HATE Ramsay (obviously). Poor Fat Walda, I liked her.
But yeah. No GOT ep has ever made me so happy, not even the Purple Wedding. I feel like Beyonce after the Superbowl
