She does always do that, though? The songwriting isn't what takes so long, it's the production and putting the album together that can take a couple of years. I mean, a lot more than just writing and producing goes into creating an album. Like, ARTPOP was done in 2012 but they pushed the album back so she just kept working on it because she had the time to.

That and she (Well, she says but whatevers) wrote over 100 songs for the album, so I'm sure it took her awhile to narrow down a tracklist.

You can't really blame her for wanting to tweak some songs if she practically had two years before it could be realized. I'm a perfectionist too.. so I can see why you'd just want to keep working on something you love.

I don't really get this "she should only take x amount of time to work on an album" stuff. She should take however long she needs since she's the one who's releasing the album. In fact, all of her albums have taken around the same amount of time to create but BTW and ARTPOP got extra time because the label didn't want to put them out when Gaga was done with them. Supposedly Gaga threw a fit and cried/broke down because she wanted to release BTW in 2010 but her label made her wait until 2011 so they could build hype.

Yeah, knowing how indecisive she is, that's probably the thing that takes the longest.

Nah. She shouldn't overthink things. No artist should. That's always a recipe for disaster and I bet Gaga hates having years of time to work on something because it probably drives her nuts retouching it endlessly.

Yeah, I know. I was just talking about the whole process, I should've worded it differently. What I meant to say is that she always does things better when she doesn't take a long time working on them. I know that she's perfectionist, and I know that ARTPOP was pushed back.
