The reason tlop did well its because previous to release on Spotify it was only on tidal which is a small service. But drake has kept his album in the first two crucial weeks on Apple music and has reaped it's dividends. I think all his fans by now have realized he's in contract with apple. Obviously they must have subscribed to apple. That's why the ones streaming now on Spotify are the left out ones. Last 2 weeks all his tracks were in top 20. So it's already streamed enough to the tunes of 400 million times
It hasn't even gone top 50 on pop radio yet. They should send it for pop adds now that Kiss It Better has a negative bullet.

And illegal downloading exists too. Usually when we see any kind of analysis on illegal downloading it's people like Drake and Rihanna who are illegally downloaded the most.

Apple music would have had the biggest increase in subscribed these few months...I'm totally pro apple music. They have made an effort to at least give the artists their due. Fremium is an insult to their talents.
You are forgetting that Pablo did not have a digital download release at all... That's why the streams were high... That's the only reason

Tidal is a flop service, yes, but Beyoncé still managed to draw in many suscribers. Why not Kanye? He basically forced us to subscribe to Tidal by not releasing the album digitally.

Various reasons - huger fanbase, better packaging with a video album, better material, positive hype and most importantly striking when the iron is hot..
Also... The biggest thing is drake's market is sorta saturated because already more than 1 million fans bought the album. Just like hello did not have great longevity at the top of Spotify becoz many already bought her album...
