Formation could have been a hugeee hit. Imagine if she released the video on VEVO and made it public, and put the song on Spotify. Would've been a monster hit on both platforms. And look how much it sold MONTHS after its original release. So we'd know it would do very well regarding digital sales as well. Pretty sure radio would have eaten it up too.

And imagine if she put Lemonade on Spotify like a month after its release once Lemonade's pure sales started to slow down...it's her most acclaimed album and I'm pretty sure she would have gained LOTS of new fans if she put it on Spotify.

Lemonade won't be up on Spotify until April 23, 2017 (1 year Tidal exclusive)

its on Tidal b/c she wants it to be there...she's not forced

why would ppl like Rihanna and Kanye have Tidal streaming exclusives and then release it everywhere but for some reason...Beyonce can't?? no...this is obviously her choosing

leaving it on Tidal is probably the best decision she's made except for the handling of the singles

i'm glad that 90% of her numbers are real sales...as opposed to bragging over inflated stream sales. i'm sure Beyonce is proud of that fact too. if it werent for Tidal...i'm sure it'd be nowhere just like ST was. clearly Beyonce is here for real sales for the money & time she put in that whole project...only thing is that she's not going to go on a rant about it like Chris Brown did last week over the same thing.

Same here, it makes it seem like there is basically nothing happening era, while she performed a big amount of the album on various award shows and other events. It's such a pain to hunt for the videos and to have them ripped before they get taken down. I want to be able to enoy everything when I want to. I still play the Stevie Wonder tribute daily. I just adore it.

Agreed, I must say I am suprised that she didn't went all out for the physical editions this time. I mean for Selftitled we have CD, CD/DVD, CD/Blu-Ray, Vinyl/DVD, The Platinum Edition and also clean or explicit editions for some of these versions. I would adore an official Vinyl release from the album. But i guess I will have to deal and wait until she might eventually decide to release a box set or all her albums on vinyl.

Also I agree with the handling of the singles. Even if she doesn't want to promote, just plan it a bit more logical and just release the video close to the adds date (and actually add adds dates globally) and just see how it floats. I am not asking her to appear on Fallon, just handle your stuff as an actual single, or just leave it

the 1 year exclusive is nothing but a fan made rumor.
there's no forced contracts, it's her choice (I bet she didn't even get paid for exclusive)

she might randomly put it on others maybe after grammy.. If she wins AOTY.
I don't expect anything at this point when she didn't even release 'singles' like self title.
and as she doesn't care about singles,chart,sps sales, she won't release lemoande for those reasons.

Why do y'all keep counting SOTY out? IMO she has the bigger shot at SOTY Than ROTY, Where work is also nominated. She is the only Hip Hop/R&B song and don't have to worry about splitting votes in SOTY vs ROTY.

If they decide to throw some bones at Rihanna they'll give her RnB song + performance (and perhaps that album package thing) hence why they didn't even nominate Bey in the first place. Unlike Anti, GIRL was also nominated for AOTY which meant that Pharrell had a huge urban support from the start. A member also made very valid points about Pharrell good reputation in the industry, especially as a A-list producer for more than a decade. That's why Lem is almost guaranteed to win that category, especially when Solange and Frank aren't even in the race.
