But I'd rather Beyoncé release songs that add to a better tour experience. So uptempos or midtempos that are catchy. Which would be hard to be more acclaimed than Lemonade

As much as I know Bey loves pushing artistic boundaries, she's also very drawn to classical mainstream musicianship. She loves fun catchy songs.

So who really knows. If you look at the way she wrote Independent Women the first time and the contrast with the second time, you get a sense that it's all in there for her. She has crazy left field ideas, but she loves her fans and gives them their XOs.

Honestly, I think a music only release would be just as controversial, in a positive way, as her releasing with visuals these last two albums.

It would mark a major shift and that would be a major talking point lol That's how you keep an audience on its toes. ATRL would probably call it a "gimmick" cause she led people in with the expectation of visuals and then threw them off or something.

That said, I don't think she'd do that. She loves visuals too much

I mean not on a personal level, but just following her work, she's had that duality present on every album.

An Irreplaceable for a Green Light. A Halo for a Why Don't You Love Me. A Pretty Hurts for a Haunted, an All Night for a Don't Hurt Yourself.

And when she performs you can see she enjoys different aspects of both.

In what way is "All Night" conventional? Especially in the context of the album as a whole.

And don't get it ****ed up. Irreplaceable only seems 'conventional' now because of how successful it was and how it influenced so many other songs as far as instrumentation goes.

I don't need visuals. But I think they've become necessary for her as an artist. Her work is an audio-visual experience. It's how she expresses herself.

It's more about the easy pop melodies than the sound construction which changes as new trends occur.

But I guess a more direct example is Daddy Lessons or Sorry.

The point being, Bey loves pop and experimental music. So who knows what direction she'll go in. I don't know why that's so controversial
